 On wp-admin/options-writing.php we see the Post via e-mail settings are
 all filled in with sample values, but there is no radio box to turn Post
 via e-mail on or off.

 So it looks like Wordpress is listening all day to mail.example.com unless
 one blanks out the field or something.
