 Exactly, Minimal, Clean, Yet still covers all the bases, and to use the
 Poetry line, People can understand straight away and get straight to
 changing it how they want

 theme, a news style theme and a photoblog child theme.

 That sounds great too, Bland base theme, Child themes which only modify a
 small ammount, but give the bland theme a huge facelift for a specific
 purpose. There are a number of specific themes around for photoblogging,
 or magazine, but most are rather complicated.
