Auto-upgrade & zipped upgrade both tested ok from 2.7, and a basic 
upgrade from 2.6.5 also went ok.  Mind you that's not too surprising as 
I've been running 2.8 on that same web host through svn.  I guess it's 
the people with more extreme setups that might see issues.

I'd like to have seen the default pretty permalinks ticket ( 6381 ) make 
it through, but I guess that's one for 2.8 really.  Also #8881 is fairly 
benign.
