[wp-testers] Insufficient Priviledges to Access Wordpress 2.7 Update

I can't update to Wordpress 2.7.1 through the internal update process as
I have insufficient privileges, even though I am an Admin, and my
wordpress is on default install, no tweaks, no weirdness with tables or
anything. Any ideas??

As for Links My Link Order has worked well for me, its only downfull is
the editing of the taxonomy.php file for it to function.
Other than that, anxiously waiting for the page to be sorted out. It
needs to work even as a sub-page.

So when is the "page order" feature getting an overhaul? The "(We know
this is a little janky, it'll be better in future releases.)" notice has
been displayed since 2.5. And honestly, it's not very attractive.
If this feature isn't going to be updated in 2.8, can that notice at
least be removed?

I'm also surprised nothing has been done about this yet. I would have
expected something like the "My Page Order" plugin to have been worked
into core, but it hasn't yet.I don't think totally removing it is the
answer, but I would like to see a better order handler in core (I'd also
like to see a way to explicitly order links and categories).

I have a really stupid question. The page where you can change the order

the images that are attached to a post? What is it called? I'm busy
writing
documentation for a plugin I wrote and I can't figure out how to refer

that page other than calling it the WordPress gallery page...
This is completely off topic, but it's not like I'm going to get a
serious
answer to this question anywhere else. :P

the
order of images in the gallery area you get a PHP notice that says:
Notice: Undefined variable: errors in
D:\xampp\htdocs\post-image\wp-admin\includes\media.php on line 430
I know it isn't a serious error, but I thought it was worth a mention.

I didn't see that on my install. I uploaded 4 images, reordered them in
gallery, and posted the gallery today.

Strange... I'll give it another check. Yep, it's really happening. I've
just
done a fresh install on 2.7.1 and it's still happening. I have don't
have
PHP error reporting turned off since I'm on a testing server so that
might
be why I can see it since most servers generally have PHP notice
messages
turned off and only on to show fatal or normal PHP errors. I'm not sure
though.
It's nothing important though. From what I understand it just means
something has tried to access the variable error & it hasn't been set
yet.
It's just some PHP perfectionists might go bonkers at it.

I just updated my dev box to 2.7.1 from 2.7.1 beta1, and I'm seeing
plugin
options disappear. Does this mean that enforcement of plugin
registration
has been enabled between the beta and the release?
