[wp-testers] SVN for wp-plugins gone wild?

AFAIK thats a major difference between GIT and SVN

GIT regards that a repository should be fully checked out from the root (  
thus the "Using higher level of URL:"), Whereas SVN, Can be checked out  
 from any directory..
With GIT, Its possible to rewrite part of a repo into a smaller set to be  
checked out i think.. But not for a svn->git transfer, you'd have to do a  
full SVN -> Git transfer first..
