And another +1

I even open my browser with two tabs, one to the blog one to admin page. I
use save and continue a lot. Especially if I'm looking for further
information to add to what I already have there. I use preview only on
unpublished posts. For published posts I go to the blog itself.

+1 on this.  I use exactly the same methodology.  Edit in one tab,  
preview in another tab.  I need the "Save and Continue Editing" button.

That removal alone will make me hesitate to upgrade to 2.5.
