[wp-testers] categories problems

Hi all,

I have a problem with categories that appeared at a seemingly random
point in time, long after I upgraded to 2.3.3, *and* persisted when I
upgraded to 2.5-RC1.

The problem:

(i) Manage->Categories shows no categories
(ii) Manage->Posts lists all posts as uncategorized, yet
(iii) Editing any given post actually shows all categories
in the categories panel and has the properly checked
categories (for the post)
