Short and sweet: It basically lets you FTP connect via the admin/ and 
then have the out-dated plugin files removed WHILE the updated files are 
uploaded/  installed for you so you don't have to use a FTP client and 
do yourself...

Like, you don't have to go to the plugin directory, find plugin, 
download plugin, unzip plugin to desktop, then open FTP client, upload 
files over existing plugin files with FTP client... The FTP client is 
built-in the admin/ panel... you fill in the FTP informations and it 
automatically GETS the updated plugin stuff and does it with a click of 
button... removes out-dated plugin files, installs new ones...

I'm LOVING IT.. it's SO MUCH NICER...
