[wp-testers] WordPress blog extremely slow

Okay, that is the logical thing to do but I never thought of it. Hah, I will
try this and see what I can find out.

Why don't you just disable all your plugins and switch to the default
theme and measure how fast or slow it's going then? Then switch to K2
again and measure, then enable your plugins one after the other. I'm
pretty sure this will give you some points to investigate further.
