Hi we set this up for my school's weekly newsletter. The week's posts
go in. We have a template that gives us weekly groupings (archive).
The posts include a cover photo post which is supposed to have the
latest date (so it will come first!!) We have a special style sheet
for printing and the person printing sets their margins etc to get the
cover photo to print right (just fits on the page)<br>
<br>
<a href="http://currambena.nsw.edu.au/subscribe/newsletters-archive/">http://currambena.nsw.edu.au/subscribe/newsletters-archive/</a><br>
<br>
For the email list, it is set to go once a day only at 3pm and all the
posts are in before before that time end of school and so the parents
at work get their email newletters just as mum gets the paper version
from the kids. <br>
<br>
It was supposed to include drawings and artworks but the editor still
does that manually (the old cut and paste), although techmiocally it
should all work.<br>
<br>
Does that help? <br>
(ie: a tailored archive, style sheet and timing it)<br>

Dear All,
I can see several Wordpress plugins that would allow me to manage a
mailing list within Wordpress, but is it possible to create a page
within Wordpress
that can then be captured by one of these plugins and sent out to the
mailing list as an html email?
In other words, I would like to create a weekly update page in
Wordpress that can then be sent out to subscribers as an update email.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Best wishes,
Richard Wilding

Thanks George,
Yes, that's a good suggestion, but I need to capture an entire
Wordpress page layout with multiple posts, rather than just a single
post.
In other words, the mailing list email would consist of several
different 'stories', each containing a title, image and text extract.
Best wishes,
Richard

<pre wrap="">Why not use Feedburner, do email subscriptions, and then just make
a new
post on this said Wordpress that the feed picks up? That'd seem to
be the
simplest way.

Please don't be offended if I remind ya'll that this is a list for paid
gigs, etc.
You are sending to the entire list and from what I can tell, these are
questions that really belong in the wordpress user forums.
thank you.
