Can you take your private conversation off the list? And yeah um sorry again for not canceling my Christmas break to fix your site. It did cross my mind but unfortunately I was stuck in the forest away from home. Anyway...
We're fixing Sara's site now. Variations + Shipping are in da house.
Lori. You are not in da house.
I have also had the bad WP e-commerce experience. Wrote about it here: http://lbnuke.com/2008/12/30/wordpress-ecommerce-plugins-shopp-vs-wp-ecommerce/

Broken shipping, no support from anyone except Shayne who is not even a developer. I ended up using Shopp instead. Works great. A few minor bugs that seem to get fixed quickly, but overall, the store works very well and my client is happy. It was also much easier to customize and had MUCH better support and documentation than WP e-commerce. I would recommend Shopp over WP e-commerce any day.
I too have the Instinct shopping cart installed on my site ( a developer installed it) and have had problems as well. Have also emailed for support but received none.

The shipping doesn't work properly, the tax doesn't either and the coupons that worked before the new year (although I had to offer the coupon on all products rather than just on a particular product) no longer work either.

Please advise if anyone is familiar enough to fix these problems.

I would stick to using WP e-Commerce.

Shopp is still in its infancy and does not have all the shipping
features you require.

We are currently looking into the shipping issues you mention - I'm not
sure why things are not working for you. They work for us here in our
test environment.
You might want to try this plug-in instead. http://shopplugin.net/
The features and requirements are here: http://shopplugin.net/features/

I am currently developing a store using Instinct's e-commerce plugin.

http://www.instinct.co.nz/e-commerce/

Unfortunately, the newer versions of the plug-in have massive issues,
and no one from Instinct seems to be available to fix them. The main
issue has to do with Product Options, and the fact that in the more
recent versions of the plug-in, the product options simply don't work
correctly.

In the older version of the plug-in, the product options work
correctly, but it doesn't have the shipping options I need (UPS and
table rate shipping), and you cannot assign weights to the different
product options.

Is there anyone out there familiar with this plug-in who could help
me? I have purchased numerous support tickets from Instinct, and
nothing has happened. I am more than happy to pay for help, as long as
someone can actually fix my issues.
