[wp-polyglots] Slight issue

I'm noticing our (granted, overly literal) translation for "The first
footer widget area" (and 3 others) is rrrrrrreally too long for the
box's title.
But when looking through the file with poEdit, I can't find it. I have
to open the PO with Notepad, and it seems it's in the deprecated
section of strings.
I tried editing the translation there, to no avail: it wouldn't change
the admin's string.
Am I doing something wrong?
