Based on previous versions, string freeze won't happen until the final
days of the release cycle -- and then some, as last-minute
patches/updates are common during the final rush.

Unless you're asking for a proper 3.0-beta POT? There haven't been any
for a looong time:

I myself keep using the trunk POT.
