[wp-polyglots] Problem with spanish version updates

From a long time ago there are several users that reports blank blogs after automattic updates to spanish versión and this one is having same problems in some instalations. Of course, there are a lot of updates that go right.

When an update get in troubles the solution (usually) is to upload the english version and localization .mo file manually, but it would be fine to discover what is the problem. Anyone know something about this?
