* trunk contains the future WordPress 2.9. All the new, cool and
unstable stuff comes here. That is why the trunk strings differ a lot
from the 2.8.3 strings.
* branches/2.8 was copied from trunk right after 2.8 was released. All
2.8.x are built from that branch. Only bugfixes go into this branch.
No new features.
* tags/x.y.z is self-explanatory.
