[wp-polyglots] web access to svn pis password limited?

I saw that the web access to SVN is password protected.

So we can't use it as a repository for translated file for end user
but only for development purpose right ?

I'm asking cause having .mo file ready and having people asking for it
i have to decide if to put it in wiki italian pages or send them to
svn.
