[wp-polyglots] About the Rosetta system

I'm the one behind most of the 1.2 translation to
French, which is hosted on the wiki :
http://wiki.wordpress.org/fr_FR.po
I read on the list about the Rosetta system, and went
to check about the french translation. I therefore
found out there was two running efforts to come up
with a French translation, curated by different
people. Both seem to have started from a blank slate,
even though some people help me a bit with the 1.2
translation.
Hence my question : what should I do ?
Should I just update the 1.2 until it's good, then let
them deal with 1.5 ?
Should they start working again with the existing 1.2
translation and update with new 1.5 strings ?
Of both, which one is the "official" one ? The "French
(France)", I'd say, but what is to become of the other
one ?
Obviously the answer would be "drop your version and
join the Rosetta team", but... Well, I'm just sad
seeing all my work lost, I guess.
What is to become of the WP wiki l10n pages ? Is it to
be replaced by links to Rosetta ?
What about those (like myself, and Nicolás Fantino
from the spanish team, who just posted here about it)
who work with poEdit and seem to be doing fine without
Rosetta ?
