Bear in mind that MU plugins are not checked for updates by WordPress, so
if you are writing one for general distribution and hosting it
onWordPress.org, users of your plugin won't be automatically informed of
updates.

You should consider an ordinary plugin that must be network enabled (set
"Network: true" in the header).
