[wp-hackers] Extending new media uploader modal

Hi all,

where can I find some documentation about the new modal window structure?
I would like to extend the default modal window by adding a new section to
manage an image slider (its structure should be very similar to the gallery
frame).

I've seen it is built on top of backbone.js and because I have never used
it before it would be great to have a good tutorial on how WP implemented
it.
