wp_get_attachment_image_src( ... get the custom option for the
attachment_id here ... )

The above solution should work, but I was wondering if anyone could
suggest a better solution?

Part of me was wondering if I could include a "blog image" check box
for image uploads. All one would have to do is check the box and it
would be the "featured" image for the entire blog.

Just curious if anyone has any suggestions for a better, more
streamlined, solution? Have you done something similar? If so, what
route did you take?
