[wp-hackers] RFC on a ticket on trac

Hello, everyone.

I would like to ask, maybe some could take a look, and maybe post some 
comment under one ticket, I have created few weeks ago: 
http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/22286

Intention there is to get better performance on `backslashit` function 
(as might be seen from the patch).

This function is rather heavily used in `date_i18n` and we (Timely Inc., 
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/) are 
using later one intensively. Thus this patch could help us, and the 
community - to get better performance.

I would be glad to receive any comments upon patch.
