[wp-hackers] adding a removed-plugin of another developer again to repository

hi,
recently i worked on a plugin that it was published out to wordpress plugin
directory in the past years, but
because of no update releases or maybe the bad votes and malfunctionality
it's removed a while from directory.
i'm trying to add the new version of it to repository with the same
(or containing)
name slug, but it says that the name is already existed.
any help would be appreciated.
