[wp-hackers] Access to update plugin & giving credit to original author

Paul has a good point about needing to wait longer. But that's why I'm
asking, since it could take a while to find a right-way.

Since I'm planning to add features it makes sense to create a new plugin.
The perfect thing seems to be patching the old plugin & creating a new one
for the new features (giving credit of course). Then there'd be no need to
make a "reloaded" plugin.

Since things aren't perfect, I'll create a new plugin and wait on the old
author before also doing a "reloaded" patch. Would be nice to keep the old
plugin update path clean, but reloading seems better than nothing for users.
