[wp-hackers] Replacement for switch_to_blog()?

Hi,

I've used switch_to_blog() in some of my plugins and themes for custom 
Multisite sites, but I've heard it will be deprecated in the future 
(although in trunk wp-includes/ms-deprecated.php does not list it yet?).

I'm curious:

1. Is it really going to be deprecated in the future?
2. What replacement can/should I use?
