[wp-hackers] Multi-site domain related configuration issues

Hello,

I am trying to upgrade a clients installation from an older, pre-3.0 WPMU
configuration to current WP.  This is multi-site installation that uses a
mix of subdomain and subdirectory blog configurations. Both are important
to the client.


Wordpress 3.2.1
+ WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin
+ WordPress Multi Network

Configurations that currently work:

example.com - primary domain for this installation
sub.example.com
example.com/test
example2.com

However sub-directory installations on non-primary domains do not work:

example2.com/testtest
sub.example.com/pleasehelp

When I attempt to navigate to a sub-directory install on a non-primary
domain I receive a 404 error, and if I attempt to navigate to the dashboard
it takes me to the “parent’s” dashboard (ie,sub.example.com dashboard
instead of sub.example/pleasehelp dashboard).

The above configurations all work on the original WPMU installation.

Google has provided more questions than answers. Anyone know a good
tutorial or have any advice?
