[wp-hackers] Associating post_status with a Custom Post Type

Hi all,

As far as I can see, there isn't an easy way to associate a
post_status with a given Custom Post Type. So, for example, a radio
programme could be Live and Archived, but I don't want, say, pages or
posts to be done in such a way. Equally, lets suppose that I don't
want the standard post_status for the radio programme (draft and so
on) - is there any way of making them not show up?

What is the best way to do this?
