Hello list,

I thought I'd introduce myself.

My name's Craig Russell, I'm an IT Systems specialist living in Leicester UK.

I'm recently returning to Wordpress development after a long
sabbatical. I used to freelance, writing themes and plug-ins and
what-not, but since getting a 9-5 that's all taken a back seat.

I've been reacquainting myself with the platform over the past few
months, things have moved on a long way. Custom posts. Automatic
updates. Widgets! My my you have all been busy. :)

My day job has me working in identity management; LDAP directories,
data synchronisation, federated authentication systems... But for as
much as I enjoy this, my developer itch needs scratching.

So here I am, to bend my ear towards the discussion, and to contribute
where I can.

Also I do have a question. I posted on the forums, but perhaps this is
a more appropriate place?

I'm wondering about the time intervals for scheduled events. Why at
most can events run at hourly intervals, not any more frequently? What
was the rationale behind this decision?
