[wp-hackers] How to handle this?

I'm converting a homegrown site, not written by myself, to WordPress.
The site consists of a bunch of static HTML pages and some PHP pages.

The PHP pages grab data from a DB and display the data, stuff like
that, nothing to serious.
Currently I've created a page for every old PHP page and by using
shortcodes I call the necessary function to display the data.

Am I on the right track or is there a better solution?
