IMHO, businesses need to consider involvement in WordPress core 
development a business imperative and one worthy of investment. If their 
business is affected (and effected) by the features included in a 
release, there is an obvious benefit to having their staff involved 
early in the development cycle.  They need to have involvement beyond 
just deployment testing for their installs.
