[wp-hackers] checked sub categories on the admin panel

On the admin panel, once a sub category is checked, it no longer
appears as a sub.
I see the reasoning why it is so. However, it's confusing to me. I
rather keep the original look.


So, before the current post is associated with any category, my
category box shows as follows

US
----california
----new york
--------manhattan

But if I check say manhattan and newyork for the current post, then
the category box appears as


new york
manhattan
US
-----california

Is there any way to keep the original indentation as is?
