[wp-hackers] <!DOCTYPE html>

The Doctype html is because TwentyTen is in html5. I wasn't aware of any problems in IE, but changing it might cause problems down the road when utilizing html5 elements.

Subject: [wp-hackers] <!DOCTYPE html>

The 2010's header.php has this ( <!DOCTYPE html> ) as the first thing.

If I remove this or comment it out, what are the harms? How important
is it to keep it?

I'm trying to experiment resizing iframes dynamically. So far, dode
seems to work on all major browsers.

But with one caveat;

If I leave the header.php unchanged ( keep it with <!DOCTYPE html>
that is), except IE, all works.
If I lremove it, then IE too works.

IE 7.0

I don't mind removing it unless there are issues I should know of
before going down on that track.
