[wp-hackers] Theme setting location

I've got an idea to play around with the location of my theme, but I can not
seem to find where the active theme is defined as far as paths, etc.. Can
someone give me a clue as to where wordpress stores this information. I've
looked through just about every record in the DB, but its not there, so I'm
assuming it updates a file somewhere. Same question for the plugins.
