[wp-hackers] Child themes

I'm cross posting this as I'm unsure as which the most appropriate list is.

What work is being done to add support for child themes in the .org
repo? Obviously there is a bit of tweaking to be done, checking for
updates for the parent theme etc. but it would be great to see this in
3.1- considering the emphasis put on TwentyTen and the ability to use
child themes.
