I'm helping an editor from a semi-prominent site find and hire a
consultant who can help get to the bottom of - and permanently solve -
ongoing mysterious performance issues.

We're looking for someone with solid mysql and server tuning
experience, who knows how to inspect network packets, and who knows WP
inside out (i.e. we're not just looking for an average dev who can
install TotalCache :) The candidate should be able to determine
whether the outages are:

- Caused by normal performance problems
- Can be solved with database tuning
- Result from a particular plugin or combination of plugins
- Related to unusual network traffic (attacks of some kind)

... and who can implement fixes or make recommendations. Since the
outages are intermittent, the job will probably involve someone being
on call or on a monitoring system for a while, and available to jump
in when an outage occurs. Consultant will need to accurately describe
the diagnosis and fix (we want to learn from this process).

If interested, please send me (off-list) your CV or credentials,
related URLs, references to similar work you've done in the past, and
your rate.

Thanks,
Scot
