[wp-hackers] add_meta_boxes and do_meta_boxes hooks

Hi all,

Anyone know the score with the add_meta_boxes and do_meta_boxes hooks?
Looking around line 162 of edit-form-advanced.php and this ticket:

seems to suggest that they do very similar things, but that
add_meta_boxes was introduced recently and that do_meta_boxes might be
deprecated (soon?). It's not clear to me.

Just wanting to know what the best hook to use is going forward.
