I just recently refreshed this patch 2 weeks ago, and while it should  
still be valid, might need refreshing again against trunk. I can do  
that tonight if one of the committers want to review it and push it  
in. It addresses many text changes, including removing the 'janky'  
comment. Personally, while the page order thing could be better, I've  
never really found it to be 'janky' for even a moderate amount of  
pages (<= 100).
