It's very easy to add this as an one-line plugin:

add_filter('tiny_mce_before_init', create_function( '$a', 
'$a["extended_valid_elements"] = "iframe[*]"; return $a;') );

Was thinking to make a small plugin that adds a GUI to this, but it's 
only for (very) advanced users, so perhaps is best done in code only.
