Well,

It's just that "Code is Poetry" sounds better than "Code shall not
Stink". It's just a motto, a slogan, a guideline. As catchy or fun or
witty a slogan may be, it's just a slogan. It's for marketing. I think
in the end it means more or less the same thing.
