You seem to be assuming that in order to work on one idea, others need
to be put on hold. But that's the wonderful thing about Free Software
projects isn't it? Different people can focus on the different bits
they're passionate or curious about.

For instance, I haven't a clue as to what "SVN awareness" (which shows
up on the following list) is, but I like the sound of it and will be
willing to find out more and contribute. It's quite likely others care
about other features on this list, and still others care about a
fully-functional ideas forum. (And are willing and able to contribute
their time, code etc.)
