My main blog runs trunk always: http://xentek.net, and I have it  
associated with my project via svn:externals.

When a new major release is about a month out, I will run trunk on new  
client projects so that I can be sure that they will be in good shape  
when it actually ships. After it does come out, I switch them to the  
stable branch for that version, ensuring that they are getting changes  
quickly, but aren't running the bleeding edge.
