[wp-hackers] Custom login page patch

Hi Peter, this is Dave.  I'm the author of the login page patch for  
Trac 4478.  You mentioned in the Trac notes that moving the code to wp- 
includes would be more desirable.  Could you expand on this for me?   
I've been developing PHP apps for 8 years now, but I've only started  
hacking WordPress in the last 5-6 months, so a nudge in the right  
direction (and maybe an example of existing code or two) would be  
greatly appreciated. :)
