[wp-hackers] WordPress version stats

Greeting all and Happy 2008.

On all the clients sites I develop, I make sure to keep the meta  
reference to the WordPress version in the header. This got me  
thinking. Is anyone aware of a stats system that tracks this  
information? For example, somewhere I can submit a client site URL,  
and like NetCraft or similar, it will poll the site on a regular  
period to collect the WP version.

If not does anyone think this would be beneficial information to anyone?
