The subject line is a bit of a joke, but might it be worth discussing
what the MySQL acquisition means to WordPress, if anything? I understand
and recall that wordpress.com experimented with Solaris back in its
early days (It's LiteSpeed and GNU/Linux now), but will the major
development have any impact on:

1. The bottom level of the stack at WP.com;
2. Various optimisations associated with Solaris (see articles from Don
Marti in LinuxWorld/IDG);
3. MySQL exclusivity/MySQL's supported version; and
4. Sponsorship/s of some kind?

Just curious.

If nothing has changed, that's excellent news too.
