Actually, now that I've had a coffee, it might make more sense to 
transmit the admin data inderectly via e.g. a dedicated RSS feed but I 
can't think of a way to reliably measure and transmit front-end viewing 
metrics without an pixel-cookie-IP combination (and its bandwidth cost) 
without creating temptations for gaming the system.
