[wp-hackers] De-emphasize use of ID values in functions?

For what it's worth I'll second that

I maintain some Chinese language installations, I can't make heads or 
tails of the Chinese characters :-/
Post IDs are about the only thing allowing me and the authors to 
communicate meaningfully.
