Shipping wpmu as wp (Re: [wp-hackers] WPMU Plugin management)

I think making changes to the WP core for WPMU is perfectly reasonable.

It may well be that wp will be increasingly like wpmu. Certainly plugin and
skin authors need to be aware that their code will get executed under wpmu
sometimes.

Here's an idea: how about everyone gets wpmu when they install wp, except
the multiuser stuff is disabled by default?
