I'm suggesting this approach for messages that trend towards "support"
or "bugs" instead of "architecture" or "planning".

Perhaps it bespeaks a need for for a wp-support list where such
traffic could be shunted?  Would that not significantly cut down on
list traffic numbers?

Basically repurpose wp-hackers...
