I agree that Shuttle is tres-sexy, but it was started before 2.0 was 
released and I think was more an aesthetic refresh than meant to address 
underlying assumptions in our interface.

The upcoming design is based on a great deal of user testing and 
research and in my opinion gets to the core of what WordPress is while 
providing a flexible base for us to grow in the years to come. It should 
start hitting trunk relatively soon (knock on wood) and we can chat 
about it more then.
