[wp-hackers] Using nextpage style pagination in Pages

I could be wrong but that doesn't seem to be working for me.

I've got this in my index.php template file:
<?php posts_nav_link(' &#8212; ', __('&laquo; Previous Page'), __('Next Page
&raquo;')); ?>

And this in my page in the editor:
<!--nextpage-->

But I'm getting nothing.
