Just FYI, reCAPTCHA is one of several CAPTCHA implementations that at 
least has an audio CAPTCHA built-in:

Blind users often struggle with audio CAPTCHAs, but they are better than 
nothing. The CAPTCHA Project's unqualified claim that this makes 
reCAPTCHA "accessible" is bogus however, since their implementation 
obviously still locks out the deafblind without exception.
